GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
Your faith opens what fear keeps closed.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | Matthew 9:27–31
As Jesus passed by, two blind men followed him, crying out,
“Son of David, have pity on us!”
When he entered the house,
the blind men approached him and Jesus said to them,
“Do you believe that I can do this?”
“Yes, Lord,” they said to him.
Then he touched their eyes and said,
“Let it be done for you according to your faith.”
And their eyes were opened.
Jesus warned them sternly,
“See that no one knows about this.”
But they went out and spread word of him through all that land.
EVERY DAY QUESTION
What struck you? Challenged you? Inspired you? What questions did it raise?
GOING DEEPER
Faith That Sees the Invisible
Two blind men pursue Jesus with striking determination. They cannot see Him, yet somehow they see Him more clearly than most. The title they use—“Son of David”—is a Messianic confession, a recognition of Jesus’ identity that the educated, the religious, and even many disciples have not yet grasped. Their physical blindness intensifies their spiritual sight.
Jesus asks them a question that echoes across every century: “Do you believe that I can do this?” The Greek verb for “believe” (pisteuō) means more than intellectual agreement—it implies trust, confidence, reliance. Jesus is not asking whether they think healing is possible. He is asking whether they trust Him.
Then comes one of the most theologically potent lines in the Gospels: “Let it be done for you according to your faith.” This is not Jesus saying faith causes the miracle, but that faith opens the space for grace to flow without resistance. Faith is the posture of receptivity; unbelief is the posture of closure. The miracle reveals this spiritual law:
Faith does not force God’s hand—faith opens the heart to receive what God is eager to give.
In family life, we often live as though seeing comes first and believing second. We wait for change before trusting God. But Jesus flips it: belief precedes vision. Children, marriages, and homes grow strong when the people inside them dare to trust before the evidence appears.
This Advent invites your domestic church to cultivate faith that sees what is invisible—faith that prays boldly, forgives generously, hopes stubbornly, and approaches Jesus with confidence. Let faith guide your steps even when clarity seems distant. Let trust shape your words even when outcomes seem uncertain. This is how spiritual sight grows.
Parents, lead your home by taking Jesus at His word. Pray over your spouse and children by name, asking the Holy Spirit to deepen their faith, clear the fog of discouragement, silence the Enemy’s lies, and open their eyes to the power and presence of Christ at work in their lives.
“Faith is a gift of God, a supernatural virtue infused by Him.” (CCC 153)

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
