GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
You have not escaped My notice; I know even the hairs of your head, so do not let fear convince you that you are forgotten.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | Luke 12:1-7
At that time:
So many people were crowding together
that they were trampling one another underfoot.
Jesus began to speak, first to his disciples,
“Beware of the leaven–that is, the hypocrisy–of the Pharisees.
“There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed,
nor secret that will not be known.
Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness
will be heard in the light,
and what you have whispered behind closed doors
will be proclaimed on the housetops.
I tell you, my friends,
do not be afraid of those who kill the body
but after that can do no more.
I shall show you whom to fear.
Be afraid of the one who after killing
has the power to cast into Gehenna;
yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one.
Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins?
Yet not one of them has escaped the notice of God.
Even the hairs of your head have all been counted.
Do not be afraid.
You are worth more than many sparrows.”
EVERY DAY QUESTION

GOING DEEPER
Being known and cherished by God gives us courage to live truthfully before Him and others.
Where does fear of what people might think keep you from living as the person God is calling you to become?
The crowd is enormous, yet Jesus speaks first to His disciples. His warning about hypocrisy belongs close to home. We can learn to present a version of ourselves that earns approval while concealing what needs healing. Sometimes we even carry that habit into prayer, offering God carefully arranged words while leaving our shame, anger, or doubt unspoken. Maintaining appearances is exhausting. Jesus invites us to bring our actual lives into His presence.
Consider the image of leaven: a small amount works its way through an entire batch. Hypocrisy can spread similarly, as one compromise teaches us to make another. We excuse a dishonest answer, conceal a failure, and gradually become accustomed to the distance between our public words and private choices. Jesus addresses that danger while calling His disciples friends. His searching truth comes within a relationship He wants them to receive.
Then comes the astonishing tenderness of the sparrows and the counted hairs. The God before whom everything is revealed attends to the smallest details of our lives. We often imagine His attention arriving only when we pray well or accomplish something worthy. Yet He sustains us at every moment. Through Christ, He draws us into communion with Himself, where we can learn to act from the love already offered to us. Fear loses authority as trust takes root.
Jesus also gives a sober warning about judgment. Our choices have eternal significance, and another person’s approval cannot make wrongdoing harmless. Reverence for God helps put lesser fears in their proper place. We may still tremble when telling the truth or admitting a serious fault. Courage grows when we entrust those consequences to Him and choose faithfulness. Today’s optional memorials of Saint Hedwig and Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque invite us to remember that holiness is possible in a life offered to God.
For us as parents, the home is the domestic church, where truthfulness needs both conviction and mercy. When we admit that we overreacted, our children see that repentance is possible. When a child confesses a mistake, our response can uphold accountability while preserving their confidence in our love. A spouse should be able to speak honestly without facing ridicule. Let the truth come into the light where it can be addressed, forgiven, and healed.
Build saint-forming homes where honesty is practiced with courage and received with charity; pray over your spouse and children by name, asking that trust in God’s attentive love overcome their fear; act in the power of the Holy Spirit by bringing one concealed failure to the light and taking the next faithful step.

LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In My Heart: Whose approval has become more influential in my decisions than faithfulness to God?
In My Home: How do I respond when someone trusts me with an uncomfortable truth?
In My World: What honest word or faithful action have I been postponing because I fear the consequences?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around … invite each person to share one situation in which doing the right thing feels intimidating. Allow anyone to pass, and listen without pressing for private details.
Then pray over each person by name: “Father, help [Name] personally experience Your tender love. Free them from the Enemy’s lies that they are invisible, worthless, or loved only when they succeed. Give them strength to overcome temptation, especially dishonesty and the desire to please others at any cost. Grant them joyful courage to follow Jesus through one truthful word and one faithful choice today. Amen.”
Daily Challenge: Correct one small untruth or admit one mistake without making excuses.
DAILY PARENT & GRANDPARENT BLESSING
LORD JESUS CHRIST, let Your holy anointing be upon each of our children, grandchildren, and godchildren this day and week, including all to whom they are called in vocation, and all future generations! In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
