INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | Luke 8:1-3
Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another,
preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God.
Accompanying him were the Twelve
and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities,
Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza,
Susanna, and many others
who provided for them out of their resources.

GOING DEEPER
The Gospel does not only pass through towns. It travels in a company of the healed.
Beloved, have you treated your deliverance as a private ending—or as the beginning of companionship with Jesus?
Luke will not let the mission look like a men’s procession with silent extras at the edge. He names the women. He names their wounds. He names their gift. Mary Magdalene is remembered first by what had gone out of her: seven demons—language of complete bondage, a life once wholly overrun. Joanna comes from the house of Herod’s steward: the Kingdom reaching even into palaces that opposed the Baptist. Susanna stands among “many others.” Then Luke uses a working word: they provided—in Greek, they served, they supplied, they made the road possible out of their own resources.
This is not charity tossed toward a famous rabbi. This is vocation. The same hands that once trembled now underwrite the preaching of the Kingdom. Jesus does not journey alone. He does not treat the formerly afflicted as a success story to leave behind. He takes them with Him.
You may think your history disqualifies you from the company. Or you may think provision is somehow less spiritual than proclamation. Luke says otherwise. If He has cured you, you belong on the road. If you have resources—time, money, a table, a voice, a home—those belong to the journey too.
Parents, build saint-forming homes. Pray over your spouse and children by name. Act in the power of the Holy Spirit by placing one healed gift back on the road with Jesus today.
“From the beginning, Jesus associated his disciples with his own life, revealed the mystery of the Kingdom to them, and gave them a share in his mission, joy, and sufferings.” (CCC 787)

In My Heart: What healing in my story have I kept private instead of letting it travel with Jesus?
In My Home: How can our resources—time, money, table, welcome—provide for the Kingdom this week?
In My World: Whom do we still treat as a footnote, though Christ has made them a companion?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around …
Name one gift in your household that could help the Gospel keep moving. Then pray over your spouse and each person by name, asking the Father to deepen their personal knowledge of His love, free them from every lie of the Enemy, strengthen them against temptation, and fill them with joyful, concrete living of the Gospel.

Give one concrete resource today—time, money, a meal, a ride, a word—to help the good news keep traveling.

LORD JESUS CHRIST, let Your holy anointing be upon each of our children, grandchildren, and godchildren this day and week, including all to whom they are called in vocation, and all future generations! In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.
