GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY

INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | Matthew 13:31–35
Jesus proposed a parable to the crowds.
“The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed
that a person took and sowed in a field.
It is the smallest of all the seeds,
yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants.
It becomes a large bush,
and the birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.”
He spoke to them another parable.
“The Kingdom of heaven is like yeast
that a woman took and mixed with three measures of wheat flour
until the whole batch was leavened.”
All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables.
He spoke to them only in parables,
to fulfill what had been said through the prophet:
I will open my mouth in parables,
I will announce what has lain hidden from the foundation of the world.

GOING DEEPER
The Smallest Seed, the Greatest Life
It’s easy to dismiss small beginnings—our faltering prayers, our imperfect parenting, our unseen sacrifices. We often want impact now, revival now, fruit now. But Jesus invites us into the long game of the Kingdom: a mustard seed and leaven—seemingly insignificant beginnings that, over time, transform everything.
The mustard seed was proverbially the tiniest seed known to Jesus' audience. But when planted and surrendered, it grows into something big enough to host others. Likewise, a little yeast, when hidden in dough, changes the entire batch. The Greek word for “leavened,” zumoo, suggests a complete transformation. The point is clear: even the smallest surrender to God—if consistent, if hidden in love—unleashes divine transformation.
Don’t underestimate what God can do through your daily yes. A smile to a child. A whispered prayer. A family rosary. A shared meal. A word of forgiveness. A parent laying hands on their child and speaking blessing in Jesus’ Name. These are mustard seeds. These are yeast.
Parents, you are sowers of the Kingdom in your home. Take time today to gather your children and spouse and pray over them. Renounce discouragement and the lies of the Enemy. Ask the Holy Spirit to water what has been planted. In time, the branches of your home will shelter many souls.
“The family is the original cell of social life… It is the community in which, from childhood, one can learn moral values, begin to honor God, and make good use of freedom.” (CCC 2207)

Hidden but Holy: What small, often unseen sacrifices are you making that may be leavening your family or community?
A Kingdom of One Yes: Where might God be calling you to persevere in trust, even when you don’t see results?
Spiritual Cultivation: How can you sow a fresh seed of faith today—in your home, workplace, or heart?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around, have each person share something small another person did that made a big difference. Then parents pray aloud over your children and spouse:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for planting Your Kingdom in us. May it grow in [name], bearing great fruit for Your glory. Drive out all fear and discouragement. May Your Spirit leaven every part of our lives. Amen.”

LORD JESUS CHRIST, let Your holy anointing be upon each of our children, grandchildren, and godchildren this day and week, including all to whom they are called in vocation, and all future generations! In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.
