GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
If you love Me and keep My word, I will come to you and make My dwelling within you.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | John 14:21-26
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Whoever has my commandments and observes them
is the one who loves me.
Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”
Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him,
“Master, then what happened that you will reveal yourself to us
and not to the world?”
Jesus answered and said to him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.
Whoever does not love me does not keep my words;
yet the word you hear is not mine
but that of the Father who sent me.
“I have told you this while I am with you.
The Advocate, the Holy Spirit
whom the Father will send in my name --
he will teach you everything
and remind you of all that I told you.”
EVERY DAY QUESTION
What struck you? Challenged you? Inspired you? What questions did it raise?
GOING DEEPER
Love that lives in obedience becomes a home for God.
Do your daily choices actually reveal your love for Jesus—or just your familiarity with Him?
Jesus makes something unmistakably clear: love is not sentiment—it is surrender. “Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me.” The Greek word for “keep” here is tēreō, which means to guard, to hold fast, to preserve attentively. This is not casual compliance—it is committed devotion.
And the promise that follows is staggering: “We will come to him and make our dwelling with him.” The word for “dwelling” is monē—the same root used for the “dwelling places” in the Father’s house. In other words, heaven is not just a future destination—it begins now. God desires to make His home in you.
But notice the condition: love expressed through obedience. This challenges a modern tendency to separate love from action. We may feel affection for God, speak about Him, even admire Him—but do we align our lives with His word? “Obedient love opens the door to divine dwelling.”
Judas (not Iscariot) asks a practical question: why not reveal yourself to the whole world? Jesus’ answer reveals a spiritual principle: God is not hidden—He is revealed to those who love Him enough to follow Him. Revelation is relational, not merely informational.
This has profound implications for our homes. The domestic church is meant to be a dwelling place of God—not because of perfect people, but because of practiced obedience. When we forgive, when we choose truth, when we serve one another, when we pray—we are making space for God to live among us.
And we are not left alone in this. Jesus promises the Advocate—the Holy Spirit. The Greek word Paraklētos means one who is called alongside to help, to guide, to strengthen. He will “teach you everything and remind you.” This is not abstract theology—it is daily guidance. The Holy Spirit actively forms us into people who can live what Jesus commands.
So the question becomes: are we inviting Him in—or crowding Him out? Our homes can be filled with noise, distraction, and pressure, or they can become places where the Holy Spirit is welcomed, heard, and followed.
Today, choose obedience as your expression of love. Parents, lead the way. Build homes where God is not a guest, but a resident. Pray over your children by name. Invite the Holy Spirit into your decisions, your conversations, your struggles. And trust that as you live His word, He will make His home with you.
“The Holy Spirit, whom Christ the head pours out on his members, builds, animates, and sanctifies the Church. He is the soul of the Mystical Body of Christ.” (CCC 797)
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In My Heart: Is my love for Jesus reflected in concrete obedience to His word?
In My Home: What can we do to make our home more intentionally a dwelling place for God?
In My World: Where is the Holy Spirit prompting me to act in obedience today?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around … share one way you can better live out Jesus’ teachings in your daily life.
Then pray together as a family. Lay hands on each person and pray over them by name:
“Holy Spirit, come and dwell in [Name]. Teach them, guide them, and remind them of Jesus’ words. Give them a heart that loves through obedience. Strengthen them to choose what is right, reject every lie, and live with joy in Your presence.”
Pray for a deep awareness of God’s love, freedom from disobedience and distraction, strength to follow His word, and joy in living as a dwelling place of God.
Daily Challenge: Choose one specific command of Jesus today—and intentionally live it out with clarity and conviction.

In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
