GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
Go and proclaim My Gospel—I am working with you and through you.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | Mark 16:15–20
Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them:
“Go into the whole world
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved;
whoever does not believe will be condemned.
These signs will accompany those who believe:
in my name they will drive out demons,
they will speak new languages.
They will pick up serpents with their hands,
and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them.
They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them,
was taken up into heaven
and took his seat at the right hand of God.
But they went forth and preached everywhere,
while the Lord worked with them
and confirmed the word through accompanying signs.
EVERY DAY QUESTION
What struck you? Challenged you? Inspired you? What questions did it raise?
GOING DEEPER
The Gospel is not meant to be kept—it is meant to be proclaimed through your life.
Where is Jesus sending me right now to witness to Him?
This is not a suggestion. It is a command.
“Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel.”
The Greek word for proclaim—kērussō—means to herald, to announce publicly with authority. This is not quiet, private belief. This is lived, spoken, embodied witness.
And notice—this mission is given not to experts, but to the Eleven. Ordinary men. Recently fearful. Recently doubting. Recently scattered.
And yet—sent.
This is the pattern of the Church. Not perfect people, but called people.
Today we celebrate Saint Mark, the Evangelist—one who captured the Gospel in written form, but also lived it boldly. His Gospel is fast-paced, urgent, action-oriented—because the message of Christ is not meant to sit still.
It moves.
And so must we.
Jesus then makes a promise: “The Lord worked with them.” This is everything. The mission is not ours alone. God is not sending us out unsupported—He is working through us.
The signs described—driving out demons, healing the sick—point to the real power of the Gospel. Not just words, but transformation. Freedom. Restoration.
In family life, this mission begins at home.
The domestic church is the first place where the Gospel is proclaimed. Not through formal speeches, but through daily life—how we love, forgive, speak, serve, and trust.
Children are not primarily formed by what we say—but by what we live.
Do they see courage? Faith? Joy? Conviction?
Or do they see hesitation, fear, and compartmentalized belief?
Parents, you are the first evangelists of your children. You are sent—right where you are.
Do not underestimate this mission.
Speak about Jesus. Pray openly. Share your faith. Let your children see that the Gospel is real, active, and alive in your life.
And today, pray over your children by name. Ask the Holy Spirit to empower them—to give them boldness, clarity, and courage to live and proclaim the Gospel. Ask that they would not be passive believers, but active witnesses.
Because the Gospel is not just something we believe.
It is something we live—and something we proclaim.
“The Church, sent by Christ to reveal and communicate the love of God to all men and nations, is aware that for her a great missionary task still remains to be fulfilled.” (CCC 849)
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In My Heart: Do I see myself as someone sent by Jesus to proclaim the Gospel?
In My Home: How can we live our faith more visibly and intentionally as a family?
In My World: Where is God calling me to witness more boldly to Him?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around, share one way each person can show or share their faith this week.
Then pray together as a family. Parents, place your hands gently on each person and pray over them by name. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill them with boldness and courage. Renounce any fear, hesitation, or silence about faith. Pray for clarity, joy, and strength to live as witnesses of Christ.
Daily Challenge: Share something about your faith with someone today—through a word, an invitation, or an act of love.

Amen.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
