GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
You are not alone or ill-equipped—I have sent you and filled you with My peace. Wherever you go, My Kingdom goes with you.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | Luke 10:1-9
The Lord Jesus appointed seventy-two disciples
whom he sent ahead of him in pairs
to every town and place he intended to visit.
He said to them,
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest.
Go on your way;
behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;
and greet no one along the way.
Into whatever house you enter,
first say, ‘Peace to this household.’
If a peaceful person lives there,
your peace will rest on him;
but if not, it will return to you.
Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you,
for the laborer deserves payment.
Do not move about from one house to another.
Whatever town you enter and they welcome you,
eat what is set before you,
cure the sick in it and say to them,
‘The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.’”

GOING DEEPER
When Jesus sends, He supplies. Our weakness is His strategy.
Saint Luke records a breathtaking moment: the first great missionary wave of the Gospel. Jesus appoints seventy-two disciples and sends them out in pairs—a number symbolizing the nations of the world. They are not spectators but participants in salvation’s unfolding story. Their mission is not simply to speak about the Kingdom but to embody it.
Yet His instructions are shocking. “Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals.” In the ancient world, such provisions were essential for travelers. Jesus is not promoting recklessness but dependence—teaching them to rely not on resources but on relationship. In Greek, the phrase “I send you” (apostellō) literally means “I cause you to be sent”—the emphasis is on His authority, not theirs.
And the image He uses—“lambs among wolves”—is deliberate. The Lamb of God is sending lambs, not lions. Their power is not in aggression but in peace. “Peace to this household,” He tells them. In Hebrew, shalom means far more than the absence of conflict—it means wholeness, harmony, the restoration of right order. Wherever they go, they are to sow shalom—and in doing so, make visible the reign of God.
For modern disciples, this Gospel cuts deep. We often think mission requires platforms, programs, or perfect conditions. But Jesus says otherwise: the Kingdom advances through ordinary people who trust His provision and speak His peace. Your home, workplace, and neighborhood are not waiting for a preacher—they’re waiting for a witness.
Families, you are sent—together. Your dinner table is your mission field. Your forgiveness is your proclamation. Your prayer, your laughter, your perseverance in love—these are the miracles the world longs to see. Parents, tonight pray over your children by name, asking the Lord to anoint your family as His ambassadors of peace and to send you, even into difficulty, as living signs that the Kingdom of God is near.
“The Holy Spirit is the principal agent of the whole Church’s mission.” (CCC 852)
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
Mission Mindset: Where is God sending you today—your home, school, or workplace—to bring His peace?
Dependence or Control: What would it look like for you to trust God’s provision rather than your own plans?
Family on Mission: How can your family live and speak the reality that “the Kingdom of God is at hand”?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around, name one person or situation where you sense God calling you to bring His peace. Write the names down and commit to pray for them this week.
Then pray over one another by name: Lord Jesus, send [Name] as Your messenger of peace. Free [Name] from fear and self-reliance. Fill [Name] with courage, compassion, and confidence in Your Spirit’s power to make Your Kingdom known wherever they go.
DAILY PARENT & GRANDPARENT BLESSING
LORD JESUS CHRIST, let Your holy anointing be upon each of our children, grandchildren, and godchildren this day and week, including all to whom they are called in vocation, and all future generations! In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
