GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
I have given you everything in My Son—receive Him and live.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | John 3:31–36
The one who comes from above is above all.
The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things.
But the one who comes from heaven is above all.
He testifies to what he has seen and heard,
but no one accepts his testimony.
Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy.
For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God.
He does not ration his gift of the Spirit.
The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,
but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God remains upon him.
EVERY DAY QUESTION
What struck you? Challenged you? Inspired you? What questions did it raise?
GOING DEEPER
God does not give His Spirit in portions—He offers His life fully to those who receive His Son.
Am I truly receiving the fullness of what God is offering, or am I settling for something less?
This Gospel draws a sharp contrast between what is “from above” and what is “of the earth.” Jesus is not simply another teacher among many. He is the One who comes from heaven—who speaks not opinions, but truth grounded in divine reality.
And yet, “no one accepts his testimony.”
This is one of the great paradoxes of the Gospel. Truth stands before us, yet it can be resisted. Not because it is unclear—but because receiving it requires surrender.
Then comes one of the most powerful lines: “He does not ration his gift of the Spirit.”
The Greek implies abundance—without measure. God does not give His life sparingly. He pours it out completely. There is no holding back on His end.
Which raises the real question: what about us?
Are we open to receiving that fullness?
So often, we live partially surrendered lives. We give God certain areas—but hold others back. We seek His help—but maintain control. We want His blessings—but resist His authority.
But the Gospel makes it clear: “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.” Belief here is not passive. It is active trust, obedience, and alignment with Christ.
The alternative is sobering—not life, but distance from it.
In family life, this becomes deeply practical. Are we raising children to receive the fullness of life in Christ—or a diluted version? Do they see a faith that is vibrant, Spirit-filled, alive? Or one that is minimal and compartmentalized?
The domestic church is meant to be a place where the life of God flows freely—where the Spirit is welcomed, where truth is spoken, where love is lived fully.
Children learn what is possible by what they see.
Parents, this Gospel calls you to open your home fully to the life of God. Do not ration your faith. Do not hold back your trust. Receive the Spirit without measure—and let that abundance shape your family.
Pray over your children by name, asking the Holy Spirit to fill them completely—to awaken their hearts, guide their lives, and root them in the truth that Jesus is the source of eternal life.
God is not holding back.
He is offering everything.
“The grace of Christ is the gratuitous gift that God makes to us of his own life.” (CCC 1999)
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In My Heart: Where might I be holding back from fully receiving God’s life and Spirit?
In My Home: How can we live a more fully surrendered and Spirit-filled family life?
In My World: How can I witness to the fullness of life found in Christ?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around, share one way each person wants to grow in receiving more of God’s life.
Then pray together as a family. Parents, place your hands gently on each person and pray over them by name. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill them completely—mind, heart, and soul. Renounce any fear, resistance, or partial surrender. Pray for openness, boldness, and joy in living fully for Christ.
Daily Challenge: Invite the Holy Spirit intentionally into one specific area of your life today that you have been holding back.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
