GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
I am drawing you to My Son—receive Him and you will live forever.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | John 6:44–51
Jesus said to the crowds:
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him,
and I will raise him on the last day.
It is written in the prophets:
They shall all be taught by God.
Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.
Not that anyone has seen the Father
except the one who is from God;
he has seen the Father.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life.
Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died;
this is the bread that comes down from heaven
so that one may eat it and not die.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven;
whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give
is my Flesh for the life of the world.”
EVERY DAY QUESTION
What struck you? Challenged you? Inspired you? What questions did it raise?
GOING DEEPER
Faith begins with God’s initiative—He is drawing you even now.
Where might God already be drawing me—and am I responding?
Jesus reveals something profound: “No one can come to me unless the Father… draw him.” This changes everything.
Faith is not something we manufacture. It is not primarily our effort. It begins with God’s initiative—His movement toward us.
The Greek word for “draw” here is helkō, which implies a strong, even compelling pull—like drawing a net full of fish or pulling something toward oneself. God is not passively waiting. He is actively drawing hearts.
Even now—He is drawing you.
But this drawing requires response.
“Everyone who listens… and learns… comes to me.” There is a cooperation. A listening. A willingness to be taught. The relationship unfolds when we respond to the Father’s invitation.
Then Jesus again declares: “I am the bread of life.”
But here, the language intensifies.
“The bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.” This is no longer metaphorical. This is sacramental. This is Eucharistic. Jesus is pointing directly to the gift of Himself—His real, living presence.
This is the heart of Catholic life.
Not just belief in Jesus—but communion with Him.
The manna in the desert sustained the Israelites temporarily—but “they died.” The Eucharist offers something radically different: participation in eternal life.
In family life, this is where everything converges.
We are not simply raising children to be good or moral. We are raising them to be drawn into the life of God—to recognize His voice, to respond to His call, and to receive Him fully.
The domestic church becomes a place of formation when children learn to listen—to God, to truth, to the quiet movement of grace.
Do we create that space?
Or is our home filled with noise, distraction, and constant activity?
Parents, this Gospel calls you to recognize that God is already at work in your children’s lives. He is drawing them. Your role is to help them hear.
Slow down. Make space for prayer. Make the Eucharist central. Speak openly about how God is working in your life.
And today, pray over your children by name. Ask the Holy Spirit to help them hear the Father’s voice—to be drawn deeply to Jesus—and to hunger for the Eucharist as the source of life.
Because this is not just about belief.
It is about being drawn into communion with God Himself.
“The Eucharist is the efficacious sign and sublime cause of that communion in the divine life.” (CCC 1325)
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In My Heart: Where do I sense God drawing me right now—and how am I responding?
In My Home: How can we create more space to listen to God as a family?
In My World: How can I help others recognize that God is already at work in their lives?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around, share one way each person senses God inviting or drawing them closer.
Then pray together as a family. Parents, place your hands gently on each person and pray over them by name. Ask the Father to continue drawing them to Jesus. Renounce any distraction, resistance, or indifference. Pray for attentive hearts, openness to God’s voice, and a deep desire for the Eucharist.
Daily Challenge: Spend five quiet minutes today listening for God—without distractions, simply being present to Him.
DAILY PARENT & GRANDPARENT BLESSING
LORD JESUS CHRIST, let Your holy anointing be upon each of our children, grandchildren, and godchildren this day and week, including all to whom they are called in vocation, and all future generations! In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
