already within you.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | Luke 17:20–25
Asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come,
Jesus said in reply,
“The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed,
and no one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is.’
For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.”
Then he said to his disciples,
“The days will come when you will long to see
one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.
There will be those who will say to you,
‘Look, there he is,’ or ‘Look, here he is.’
Do not go off, do not run in pursuit.
For just as lightning flashes
and lights up the sky from one side to the other,
so will the Son of Man be in his day.
But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation.”
EVERY DAY QUESTION
What struck you? Challenged you? Inspired you? What questions did it raise?
GOING DEEPER
The Kingdom is not a place to find, but a Presence to receive.
The Pharisees wanted to pin God down—to locate, schedule, and define His reign. But Jesus overturns their categories: “The Kingdom of God cannot be observed... for behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” In Greek, entos hymōn can mean “within you” or “in your midst.” The ambiguity is intentional. God’s reign is both interior and communal—alive in hearts surrendered to Him, yet also embodied in His people gathered in love.
This reverses everything about the way we naturally seek God. We chase after signs, movements, or mystical moments, while the Lord quietly waits in the person next to us—the spouse who tests our patience, the child who needs our attention, the neighbor who interrupts our plans. The Kingdom doesn’t arrive with spectacle. It breaks in through surrender.
We can spend our days scanning the horizon for lightning, while missing the slow glow of divine presence at our table. How many of us are longing for revival or miracles but ignoring the miracle of Christ already living within us? Every act of humility, every choice to forgive, every small “yes” to love is a spark of the Kingdom catching fire.
Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini lived this hidden Kingdom heroically. She longed to serve as a missionary in China but was sent instead to immigrant communities in America. Amid prejudice and exhaustion, she built hospitals, orphanages, and schools—not through grand visions but through persistent faith. She found the Kingdom where she was.
The true mark of discipleship is not knowing when Christ will appear, but recognizing that He already has. Parents, this begins at home—when you speak words of blessing instead of complaint, when you listen before reacting, when you invite Christ into the chaos of family life. Holiness is not out there; it’s right here.
“The Kingdom of God [is] righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” (CCC 2819)
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
Hidden Kingdom: Where do I overlook Christ’s presence because I’m expecting something more dramatic?
Interior Reign: What would it look like today for the Kingdom of God to reign in my heart and home?
Everyday Mission: How can my family live more intentionally as a visible sign of the invisible Kingdom?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Gather together and name one way each of you saw God at work today—in kindness shown, beauty noticed, or mercy given. Then pray over one another by name:
Lord Jesus, open [Name]’s eyes to see Your Kingdom alive within and around them. Reign in our hearts and our home. Let Your Spirit fill us with peace, patience, and joy so that others may glimpse Heaven in how we love.
DAILY PARENT & GRANDPARENT BLESSING
LORD JESUS CHRIST, let Your holy anointing be upon each of our children, grandchildren, and godchildren this day and week, including all to whom they are called in vocation, and all future generations! In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
