GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
I send My messengers to you; receive My truth and help those seeking Me to enter.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | Luke 11:47-54
The Lord said:
“Woe to you who build the memorials of the prophets
whom your fathers killed.
Consequently, you bear witness and give consent
to the deeds of your ancestors,
for they killed them and you do the building.
Therefore, the wisdom of God said,
‘I will send to them prophets and Apostles;
some of them they will kill and persecute’
in order that this generation might be charged
with the blood of all the prophets
shed since the foundation of the world,
from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah
who died between the altar and the temple building.
Yes, I tell you, this generation will be charged with their blood!
Woe to you, scholars of the law!
You have taken away the key of knowledge.
You yourselves did not enter and you stopped those trying to enter.”
When Jesus left, the scribes and Pharisees
began to act with hostility toward him
and to interrogate him about many things,
for they were plotting to catch him at something he might say.
EVERY DAY QUESTION
What struck you? Challenged you? Inspired you? What questions did it raise?
GOING DEEPER
God’s truth opens into communion when we allow it to enter the life we actually live.
What truth do you readily affirm until it asks something personal of you?
We can admire the prophets, honor the saints, and treasure the teachings of the Church while resisting God’s voice in an ordinary conversation. A spouse names our impatience. A child asks why we never seem available. Someone we find difficult exposes a habit we would rather overlook. Our first impulse may be to explain ourselves. Today’s Gospel invites a more searching response: could there be something here that God is asking us to hear?
Jesus’ image of the key carries a striking implication: knowledge is meant to provide entrance. The scholars possess learning, yet their resistance obstructs both their own entry and that of others. We might examine ourselves through that image. Does what we know about God lead us further into trusting, obedient relationship with Him? Does the way we communicate it help another person approach Him?
Many of us live with a painful gap between believing in God’s love and entrusting our actual thoughts, wounds, and decisions to Him. We visit Him in prayer, then spend much of the day managing life within our own anxious enclosure. Yet we were created for communion, and through Jesus Christ we are invited to share God’s very life. Knowing the doorway is different from walking through it. Each honest surrender gives His grace room to reshape how we live.
Today the Church honors Saint Teresa of Jesus, whose teaching on prayer directs us toward personal friendship with the Lord. The Catechism draws upon her understanding of time spent with the One whose love we know. That friendship requires our presence and honesty, including when prayer feels dry. Bring Him the defensive reply you are rehearsing, the forgiveness you are postponing, the fear you keep circling. Stay long enough to listen.
For us as parents, the home is the domestic church, where our children encounter what our faith looks like up close. We can welcome their questions, admit when we need to learn, and apologize when our behavior contradicts our teaching. When a teenager raises a hard question about the Church, begin by hearing the whole question. When a spouse asks for greater attention, put down the phone. These small acts can help make the path toward God more accessible.
Build saint-forming homes by receiving God’s truth with teachable hearts; pray over your spouse and children by name, asking for openness to His voice; act in the power of the Holy Spirit by answering correction with humility and accompanying each person toward deeper friendship with Jesus.

LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In My Heart: What am I defending that Jesus may be inviting me to surrender?
In My Home: How does my response to difficult questions affect my family’s willingness to seek God?
In My World: Whom could I accompany toward Christ by listening patiently before offering an answer?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around … invite each person to share one question about God or one area of life where they would welcome His guidance. Receive each response with interest, allowing questions to remain open when further learning is needed.
Then pray over each person by name: “Jesus, draw [Name] into a personal knowledge of Your love. Silence the Enemy’s lies that they must hide their struggles or already have every answer. Strengthen them to overcome temptation, especially stubbornness and fear. Give them joy in following Your Word, and show them one concrete way to welcome Your guidance today. Amen.”
Daily Challenge: Spend three quiet minutes with Jesus, asking, “What do You want me to receive today?”
DAILY PARENT & GRANDPARENT BLESSING
LORD JESUS CHRIST, let Your holy anointing be upon each of our children, grandchildren, and godchildren this day and week, including all to whom they are called in vocation, and all future generations! In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.

What struck me:
"Woe to you, scholars of the law!
You have taken away the key of knowledge.
You yourselves did not enter and you stopped those trying to enter.”
If we were to substitute "leaders of the Church of recent decades" for "scholars of the law," and ask what is the "key of knowledge" they might have taken away, perhaps we might focus on the fact that we are taught no longer to fear "the fires of Hell" or to take the commandments literally.
In generous fairness, perhaps this has been done out of a sincere wish not to "drive away" or to be a "welcoming Church."
Perhaps, however, the key of knowledge is actually to be found in those words of Jesus our woke pastors tell us no longer apply, such as "fear Him that is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28). Teaching the flock that there is no Judgment, nor anything to fear from it because "God doesn't do that" - isn't that "taking away the key of knowledge"? Doesn't that "stop those trying to enter?"
That's what struck me. Woe to them. Woe to us who listen to them.
