GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
You are My beloved child of the Kingdom; reject the Enemy’s lies, remain rooted in Me, and I will make you shine with My glory.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | Matthew 13:36-43
Jesus dismissed the crowds and went into the house.
His disciples approached him and said,
“Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”
He said in reply, “He who sows good seed is the Son of Man,
the field is the world, the good seed the children of the Kingdom.
The weeds are the children of the Evil One,
and the enemy who sows them is the Devil.
The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
Just as weeds are collected and burned up with fire,
so will it be at the end of the age.
The Son of Man will send his angels,
and they will collect out of his Kingdom
all who cause others to sin and all evildoers.
They will throw them into the fiery furnace,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.
Then the righteous will shine like the sun
in the Kingdom of their Father.
Whoever has ears ought to hear.”
EVERY DAY QUESTION

GOING DEEPER
Jesus has planted us as children of the Kingdom, called to shine amid a world where the Enemy still sows weeds.
What might change in our home and daily life if we truly believed that Christ has planted each of us to bear His light in the world?
Jesus does not speak vaguely about the presence of evil. He names the Enemy, the Devil, and exposes his strategy: sow confusion beside truth, resentment beside love, despair beside hope, and sin beside grace. The field is the world—but our homes are also places where that spiritual battle becomes very real.
The surprise in this parable is the patience of the Master. The weeds and wheat are permitted to grow together until the harvest, not because good and evil are equal, but because God sees far more clearly than we do. He alone knows the heart, the hidden wound, the possibility of conversion, and the grace waiting to break through.
That should bring both sobriety and hope. We must not make peace with sin, excuse it, or pretend that the Enemy’s whispers are harmless. But neither should we label a difficult child, spouse, neighbor, or even ourselves as permanently lost. The Lord is still cultivating. Grace is still at work beneath the soil.
The domestic church is one of the places where good seed is tended. When we pray with our children, ask forgiveness after harsh words, safeguard what enters our home, and speak truth with tenderness, we are cultivating a field for heaven. A holy home is not a home without struggle; it is a home where Christ is allowed to overcome it.
Jesus says that the righteous will “shine like the sun.” This is not a call to draw attention to ourselves. It is a promise that a life rooted in the Father eventually becomes radiant. The Enemy’s counterfeit glitters for a moment; holiness shines forever.
Choose the good seed. Build saint-forming homes, pray over your children by name, and act in the power of the Holy Spirit so that, amid every weed and whisper of the Enemy, your family may shine with the light of Christ.
“All Christians in any state or walk of life are called to the fullness of Christian life and to the perfection of charity. All are called to holiness: ‘Be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.’” (CCC, 2013)
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In My Heart: Where have I allowed a lie, resentment, or sinful pattern to take root rather than bringing it honestly to Jesus?
In My Home: What “good seed” can we intentionally cultivate more faithfully in our family this week?
In My World: How can I bring the patient, truthful light of Christ into a place marked by confusion or division?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around … invite each person to share one way they have seen goodness grow in someone they love.
Then pray over each person by name. Ask the Father to let them know personally how deeply they are loved, to free them from every lie of the Enemy, to strengthen them against temptation, and to fill them with courage to choose what is good, true, and beautiful in daily life. Ask the Holy Spirit to make your family a bright witness of the Kingdom.
Daily Challenge: Identify one harmful influence in your home and replace it today with one concrete practice that helps your family grow in Christ.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
