GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY

INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | John 1:47-51
Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him,
“Here is a true child of Israel.
There is no duplicity in him.”
Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?”
Jesus answered and said to him,
“Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.”
Nathanael answered him,
“Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.”
Jesus answered and said to him,
“Do you believe
because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree?
You will see greater things than this.”
And he said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you,
you will see heaven opened
and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

GOING DEEPER
Before you ever started toward Jesus, He had already seen you.
What would change if you believed you were known that completely—and still wanted?
Nathanael comes with a sharp mind and a clean heart. Jesus names him before they shake hands: a true child of Israel, no dolos—no bait, no double life. “How do you know me?” is every soul’s question. The answer is quieter than magic. “Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.” In Israel the fig tree was a place of study, prayer, hidden life. Whatever happened there, Nathanael knows he was not anonymous. The gaze of Christ reached the private hour.
Then Jesus opens heaven. Jacob once dreamed of a ladder with angels ascending and descending. Now the ladder is a Person. The angels do not climb a staircase of stone. They move upon the Son of Man. That is why this Gospel is read on the Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. Michael, whose name asks “Who is like God?”, guards the primacy of heaven against the lie of self-exaltation. Gabriel carries the Word that makes hidden lives fruitful. Raphael walks with the wounded and heals along the road. None of them replace Christ. They attend Him. They serve the One who already saw you in the shade.
You do not have to perform a more impressive holiness to be found. You need only come toward the One who saw you first. Heaven is not a rumor above your house. It is open over the Son—and over those who let themselves be known by Him.
Parents, build saint-forming homes. Pray over your spouse and children by name. Act in the power of the Holy Spirit by living one undivided hour today under His gaze.
“Christ is the center of the angelic world. They are his angels: ‘When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him.’ They belong to him because they were created through and for him: ‘for in him all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.’” (CCC 331)
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In My Heart: Where am I still living a double life, as if He had not already seen me?
In My Home: How can we become a household with “no duplicity”—the same people in secret as at the table?
In My World: Whom can I help believe they were seen and wanted before they ever approached Christ?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around …
Share one “fig tree” moment—when you knew God saw you. Then pray over your spouse and each person by name, asking the Father to deepen their personal knowledge of His love, free them from every lie of the Enemy, strengthen them against temptation, and fill them with joyful, concrete living of the Gospel.
Daily Challenge:
Sit for three quiet minutes and tell Jesus the truth He already knows—then thank Him that He saw you first.

LORD JESUS CHRIST, let Your holy anointing be upon each of our children, grandchildren, and godchildren this day and week, including all to whom they are called in vocation, and all future generations! In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.
