GOD’S DECLARATION TO YOU TODAY
Come to Me and I will never reject you—I will raise you up to eternal life.
INVOCATION
Come, Holy Spirit! Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, open my heart to hear and receive all that You desire for me. Draw me ever more deeply into the Love and Life of the Blessed Trinity!
GOSPEL | John 6:35–40
Jesus said to the crowds,
“I am the bread of life;
whoever comes to me will never hunger,
and whoever believes in me will never thirst.
But I told you that although you have seen me,
you do not believe.
Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,
because I came down from heaven not to do my own will
but the will of the one who sent me.
And this is the will of the one who sent me,
that I should not lose anything of what he gave me,
but that I should raise it on the last day.
For this is the will of my Father,
that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him
may have eternal life,
and I shall raise him on the last day.”
EVERY DAY QUESTION
What struck you? Challenged you? Inspired you? What questions did it raise?
GOING DEEPER
Jesus will never reject the one who comes to Him—His will is to save, not to lose.
Do I truly believe that Jesus will receive me, even in my weakness?
This Gospel reveals the heart of Jesus in one of the most direct and consoling ways: “I will not reject anyone who comes to me.”
Let that sink in.
Not the strong. Not the perfect. Not the already-figured-out. Anyone.
The Greek construction here is emphatic—ou mē ekbalō exō—“I will certainly not cast out.” There is no hesitation, no condition hidden behind the statement. The invitation is open and absolute.
And yet—“although you have seen me, you do not believe.”
This exposes a deeper reality. It is possible to see Jesus, to know about Him, even to be near Him—and still not entrust ourselves to Him. Belief is not proximity. It is surrender.
Jesus then reveals His mission: to do the will of the Father.
And what is that will?
“That I should not lose anything of what he gave me.”
This is stunning.
God’s will is not that you prove yourself—but that you be preserved. That you be held. That you be raised up.
The image here is not of a distant judge, but of a shepherd who refuses to lose even one of His sheep.
This has profound implications for family life.
How often do we, as parents, carry anxiety about outcomes? About whether we are doing enough, saying enough, guiding enough? There is a place for responsibility—but also a deeper truth: God loves your children even more than you do.
He is not passive.
He is actively seeking, holding, drawing, and raising.
The domestic church becomes a place of peace when this truth is embraced. When we realize that our role is not to control everything—but to cooperate with the Father’s will, which is already at work.
Children need to know this.
They need to know that they are not easily rejected. That failure is not final. That coming to Jesus is always met with welcome.
Do they hear that from us?
Do they experience that in our home?
Parents, this Gospel calls you to embody the heart of Christ. Be a place of welcome. Be a place where returning is always possible. Where love is firm but never withdrawn.
And today, pray over your children by name. Ask the Holy Spirit to root in them the unshakable truth that they are received, not rejected—that Jesus desires them, seeks them, and will never abandon them.
Because the will of the Father is clear:
Not to lose them.
But to raise them.
“God, who created you without you, will not save you without you.” (CCC 1847)
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In My Heart: Do I believe that Jesus truly receives me as I am?
In My Home: How can we create a family culture where returning and reconciliation are always possible?
In My World: Who might need to experience the welcoming love of Christ through me?
FAMILY LIVE IT
Make some time today to gather together and, going around, share one time each person felt welcomed, accepted, or forgiven.
Then pray together as a family. Parents, place your hands gently on each person and pray over them by name. Ask Jesus to help them always come to Him with confidence. Renounce any fear of rejection, shame, or distance from God. Pray for trust, openness, and joy in knowing they are loved.
Daily Challenge: Welcome someone today—with patience, attention, or forgiveness—just as Christ welcomes you.

In Your Sacred Name we claim them for You! We renounce all whispers, lies, and influences of the Enemy! We pray right now that each know Your loving Presence, be forged in virtue, and be flooded with an abundance of Your Holy Spirit to live fully their identity and mission in You now and through all eternity, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! Amen.

GOING VERTICAL
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Just as the vertical beam upholds the horizontal beam of the Cross, so too does undistracted, dedicated daily turning to God as our lifeblood uphold and strengthen every part of life. Start with just three minutes. Wait patiently for the breakthrough beyond the noise. Let Him speak.
